The Spears P401 series DWV sanitary tee is made of PVC, has a hub connection on one end and a spigot connection on the other end of the main run and a hub connection on the branch and is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This sanitary tee fitting is T-shaped and has three ends to connect and branch three pipes, two on the main run and one branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. Internal construction moves the flow at a gradual angle to prevent clogging. Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. “A” and “B” indicate the main run on the fitting, and “C” indicates the branch. The hub connections slide over the ends of male unthreaded pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the spigot end fits into the end of a female unthreaded pipe of the same diameter to minimize turbulence, creating a tight seal. . This fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for use in non-pressure residential drain, waste, vent (DWV) sanitary systems.
